IMPORTANT CHANGES EFFECTING DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS
Athol Savings Bank is committed to providing you with the most advanced fraud protection solutions available in the market place. In keeping with this commitment, we have implemented a tool which allows us to restrict debit card use in countries identified as having a high volume of fraudulent activity.
Due to an increase of fraudulent debit card activity initiated by foreign merchants, we will be blocking transactions originating in the following countries: *Mexico, *Spain, *Italy, *France, *Great Britain, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, China and Romania. This list of countries may change in the future, so please refer to our website, atholsb.com, or call us at 888-830-3200 to obtain the most current list of blocked countries.
If you are planning to travel abroad please let us know and we will be happy to release the restriction on your debit card while you are away.

What accounts can I access?
- For ATM use you can access both your Athol Savings Bank Checking Account and Statement Savings or Money Market Accounts which you designate on your application.
- Purchases made with this card will be deducted from your Athol Savings Bank Checking Account listed on your application
- To apply for a MasterMoney® & ATM Card you must have an Athol Savings Bank Checking account, plus you may have access to a Statement Savings or Money Market Account.
- To apply for the Athol Savings Bank ATM Card, you may have a checking account and/or a Statement Savings or Money Market account.
SUM® Network
Athol Savings Bank is part of the
SUM® Network, a surcharge-free group of banks and credit unions.
When you use another financial institution's ATM, they may charge you an access fee or "surcharge". Because Athol Savings Bank is a member of the SUM program, all you have to do is look for one of the over 2,000 ATMs throughout the Northeast United States that have the "SUM" logo and you won't pay a surcharge.
